Counselor/Guidance Lessons

Shanahan Jake

     Hello Everyone!

My name is Jake Shanahan, and I am the school counselor at Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Middle School. I believe that all students have the ability to be successful academically, socially and emotionally. Through individual and group counseling sessions, and social emotional classroom guidance lessons, students will be able to improve as individuals throughout their educational experiences. Furthermore, it is important to collaborate with parent(s)/guardian(s), faculty members and administration to ensure that every students’ needs are being met in and outside of school.

Middle school is the time where students begin to explore who they are and what they can accomplish as individuals. Together, the students and I will discuss and work through topics such as goal settings, study skills, social emotional comprehensions and much more (see below) in the hopes of achieving personal growth that secures an individualized understanding and preparedness for high school and beyond.
